Tools Internet

Tools Internet Details
The DCU proxy is mainly used by staff and students to get access to web pages. When at home you most likely have direct access to the internet. However in DCU your internet browser will need to use the DCU proxy. Some browsers will work in DCU if they are configured to 'Auto-detect settings' as below. However, if this does not work you may need to manually configure the proxy settings as below.
You should only manually enter the DCU proxy details if you have tried setting your browser to auto detect settings and it has not worked. In addition, once you have manually entered the settings and loaded at least one web page .. your browser may work if you then reset to auto-detect.
You will need to copy and paste this proxy url later in the instructions if that is the case. http://proxy.dcu.ie/proxy.pac
